Dear Cheryl Difatta,

I called and talked with your Public Relations Department on Monday, August 23, 1993. They suggested I send you this FAX.

I request three Press Passes to Universal Studios Theme Park for Saturday, August 28, 1993. The Press Passes are for myself, Ralph Zuranski, Special Features Writer for the Coronado Eagle Newspaper, in San Diego and two Heroes-In-Training, David Ganong and Laura Neale.

Our Newspaper has created a Heroes-In-Training Program that takes young people out on writing assignments to interesting places. The seasoned reporters help them write articles about their experiences and interviews with Heroes in the community. These cub reporters then submit the articles to their local newspapers.

This increases greater community awareness for the good people in the community that Help Enthusiastically, Responsibly, Optimistically. Both David and Laura will be helping me write my article for the Eagle and special ones for their local newspapers about their experiences at Disneyland and Magic Mountain also. If there is a Hero or Heroine on your staff or at the park on Saturday, these two Heroes-In-Training would love to interview them.

David is 13 years old and from Hanover, MA. Laura is 15 and lives in the San Fernando Valley. David came to San Diego to cover the San Diego Comic Convention and interview Jim Shooter the Head of Defiant Comics. Their company is conducting a talent search for seven children between the ages of 8 and 16 to star in his new family-oriented monthly comic series, The Good Guys. David also turned in his application to be a Good Guy. Laura Neale is also seeking to be a Good Guy. She writes and draws well.

We want to tour Universal Studios Theme Park. If possible my two young reporters would like to interview and take pictures of a Hero that works for the park or happens to be in attendance on Saturday. The accompanying article provides a more in-depth view of the program.
