Stress Is The Greatest Problem Everyone is Dealing With That Causes Severe Health Problems

The greatest doctors throughout history have many things in common. They:

  1. Were committed to helping their patients by “first doing no harm”. (Hippocratic Oath)

  2. Had open minds and a willingness to learn

  3. Always searched for new, more effective therapies

  4. Understand food is the best medicine or the most destructive poison

  5. Have the personal integrity and moral ethics to stand up for what is right and true, and

  6. Fought against those individuals who victimized patients in their greed for greater profits and more power

From the beginning of time, people violated the laws of health and suffered from their bad choices.

Sickness, disease a poor quality of life and premature death were some of the consequences. Doctors were individuals who learned how to help people feel better. The truly great healers understood symptoms were the body’s attempt to heal itself by restoring a natural balance. Those who treated the biochemical, physical, emotional and spiritual parts of each patient achieved the best results.

Nutritional medicine is the foundation of true healing.

There are certain nutrients not produced by the cells that are critical for the prevention of disease. Others were required for optimal growth, health, emotional well-being and sexual reproduction. The most essential nutrients are:

  1. Oxygen

  2. Water

  3. Amino Acids: Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine. Threonine, Tryptophan, and Valine

  4. Fatty Acids: Linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid

  5. Vitamins: C, A, D, E, K, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cobalamin), Folic Acid, and Biotin

  6. Electrolytes: Sodium, Potassium and Chloride

  7. Minerals: Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium and Iron, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Iodine, Selenium, Molybdeum and Chromium, Arsenic, Boron, Nickel, Silicon, Vanadium, Aluminum, Bromine, Fluoride, Germanium, Lithium, Lead, Rubidium, Tin

The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of the nutrients necessary to prevent disease was a huge step forward in nutritional medicine.

Unfortunately, many of the essential nutrients are not available in most countries. Most vegetables, fruits and grains are nutritionally deficient. The extensive processing of foods, including additives, preservatives, flavors, colors, dyes, fillers, etc. further diminishes the food value. Over cooking adds insult to injury.

It does not take a rocket scientist to understand why most informed people are supplementing their diets with, minerals, vitamins, amino acids and essential fats.

The health and balance of the soil has been destroyed by chemical fertilizers and high production farming techniques. Important bacteria and other soil organisms, earthworms and other creatures that live in healthy soil have been destroyed. Genetically engineered seeds cannot even reproduce their own kind. Pesticides and insecticides further continue to poison our food. Irradiation of foods to destroy dangerous microbes kills many of the remaining nutrients.

Hormones Affect The Quality And Length Of Your Life More Than You Know.

The ratios of your sex and stress hormones contribute to your success or failure in dealing with life’s little difficulties, personal relationships and traumatic events. These hormones affect:

  1. Physical strength

  2. Athletic prowess

  3. Immune system effectiveness

  4. Tissue repair

  5. Mental clarity

  6. Effective digestion

  7. Emotional stability

  8. Intellectual ability

  9. Sexual performance

  10. Reproductive fertility or potency

Adrenaline and cortisol control your response to stress. The adrenal glands produce over 40 hormones. They are our biochemical shock absorbers. Throughout history, adrenaline and cortisol, produced by the adrenals were crucial for human survival. These hormones controlled the “fight/flight response”.

Your “Fight/Flight” Response Kept Your Ancestors Alive.

In dangerous situations, adrenaline provided the first burst of energy. Cortisol assisted in this initial phase then maintained the “fight/flight response”. The heart beat faster. The senses became more acute. Blood pressure increased. Blood surged to the brain, heart, lungs, legs and arms. Hands and feet became cold and clammy as the blood flooded the large muscles used for running and fighting. Individuals had to “run like hell” or “fight with every ounce of strength” just to survive attacks by dangerous animals and predatory humans. Many battled harsh environments, starvation and suffered from poor sanitation.

Your “Fight/Fight” Response May Cause Severe Health Problems.

In the last 50 years life changed for the better---fewer wars, better food and availability, secure housing, steady employment and effective sanitation. Unfortunately, chronic stress has become our constant companion and hidden enemy. Family problems, job pressures, incessant noise, environmental pollution and radical changes in society, acts of terrorism, injuries, disease, accidents and financial crisis plague everyone. These events constantly stimulate the “fight/flight response”. Fighting others or running away is not often an acceptable option. The stimulation of the “fight/flight response” without an intense period of physical, emotional and intellectual activity creates major problems for you.

Constant Stress Is Bad News and May Kill You Prematurely.

Scientists now realize constant stress causes your body to produce too much adrenaline and cortisol. This causes the adrenals to increase in size. A steady flood of adrenaline and cortisol results in a number of potentially dangerous and life-threatening problems:

  1. The immune system stops working.

  2. The reproductive system shuts down as the desire for sex disappears.

  3. Growth and cellular repair functions cease to operate correctly.

  4. Recovery time from illness is slowed.

  5. The digestive system freezes up.

  6. The large intestine becomes paralyzed.

  7. The anal sphincter locks closed so wastes are trapped in the colon.

  8. The body’s ability to control inflammation decreases.

  9. Allergic reactions result in the swelling of the intestines.

  10. Celiac Disease and Malabsorption Syndrome become possible.

  11. Parasites viruses, bacteria, yeast and other harmful microorganisms begin to grow and flourish.

  12. Increase calcium mobilization causing osteoporosis or loss of bone density.

Stress Without Relief Creates Many Unwanted Symptoms.

If the stress level continues with no relief, the adrenals become exhausted. Cortisol levels become depleted. The body goes into a state of forced recuperation. It then begins to convert the sex hormones such as testosterone and progesterone into adrenaline and cortisol. When this occurs, the following undesirable symptoms appear:

  1. Severe Depression

  2. Fibromyalgia

  3. Heart arrhythmia

  4. Increased urine flow

  5. Profuse sweating

  6. Night sweats

  7. Muscle spasms

  8. Migraine headaches

  9. Memory lapses

  10. Stiff neck and shoulders

  11. Asthma

  12. Irritable bowel

  13. Herpes outbreak

  14. Psoriasis

  15. Eczema

  16. Lower back pain and syndrome

  17. Sciatica

  18. Erectile dysfunction

  19. Amenorrhea (No menstrual cycle)

  20. Hot flashes

  21. Hypertension

  22. Skin blotching

  23. Rashes

  24. Acne

  25. Immune suppression

Long Term Stress Leads To Panic Attacks.

If the stress level is not decreased, panic disorder and hypervigilance can occur. All the body’s reserves are directed toward immediate survival. The senses become over active and respond to even the slightest stimulus. The person becomes hypersensitive to everything going on around them. They literally “freak or space out”. The brain secretes natural pain killing drugs for the wrong reason. The panic disorder becomes a vicious cycle, debilitating the unfortunate victims.

The Greater the Stress, The Worse Hormone Problems Become.

When the endocrine system becomes severely disrupted, the master gland, the hypothalamus does not function correctly. This leads to a psychological breakdown that can lead to crippling fear. This fear further stresses the adrenals creating a terrible cycle of physical, emotional and psychological collapse.

When the Adrenals Fail, Other Organs Soon Follow.

Your adrenals are usually the first hormone producing organs to fail. The pancreas is the next organ to suffer. Your insulin levels drop and your blood sugar levels crash. The thyroid is not far behind. The ability to convert sugar into energy goes down the drain. Soon your ovaries or testes malfunction. Sexual problems arise. The parathyroid, pineal, pituitary and finally the hypothalamus, the master gland, follow the adrenal’s lead. Even the thymus, that controls your immune system, is adversely affected. As each one fails, new troubling symptoms appear and worsen.

Hormonal Problems May Begin In the Womb.

If a baby’s mother is under chronic stress and her adrenals are hyper-stimulated, the mother’s body will steal stress hormones from the baby in the womb. Progesterone, adrenaline and cortisol are redirected to supply the mother’s needs. The baby’s adrenals become abnormally enlarged. At birth, the mother may experience post-partum depression because her supply of stress hormones is dramatically cut. The baby’s adrenals will eventually decrease their output, but the pattern has been set. Every time the child comes under stress, the adrenals will balloon up. If the stress continues, as the child grows and matures, the sex hormones are stolen from the reproductive system by the adrenals. This causes menstrual and sexual problems.

There Are Certain Foods You Should Avoid To Get The Best Results.

  1. To get optimal benefits, avoid the following foods and beverages:

  2. Breads

  3. Pasta

  4. Cereal

  5. Wheat, oat and rye grains

  6. Corn

  7. Cow's milk and all dairy products including cheese, yogurt and iced cream

  8. All sources of caffeine, including regular coffee, decaffeinated coffee, soft drinks, tea and chocolate

  9. All refined sugar products

  10. All sources of hydrogenated oil

  11. Recreational drugs

  12. Soda or tap water

Digestive Problems Can Put A Tremendous Amount Of Stress On The Adrenals.

Hormonal disturbances parallel those of the digestive system. Significant stress can be the result of the body’s inability to digest food and absorb the nutrients. In almost all cases problems with digestion and nutrient absorption are usually the culprit. A major contributor to poor digestion is gluten (wheat products) intolerance and parasites.

How To Restore The Normal Function Of The Digestive System.

The body is an integrated system. The hormonal system is dependent on all other systems, especially the digestive system. The first step to optimal health is to restore the integrity of the digestive tract by returning the digestive tract to normal function by restoring the beneficial colonies of friendly bacteria.

Good Digestion Often Requires You To Use Digestive Enzymes.

You need effective digestion of your food for optimal health. As we get older, our ability to digest protein declines. The reason is that the ability to digest proteins decreases after age 22. After this time, eating the same amounts of proteins may overload the system. Digestive enzymes aid digestion.

Most People’s Diets Lack Many Of The Important Nutrients That Keep Our Bodies Strong And Healthy.

Supplementation of important nutrients is crucial for good health. Vitamin and mineral supplements provide the necessary support for repair of vital tissues.

Water is a coolant that keeps the temperature of the organs constant.

Water is very important. It also works as a solvent to clean the cells of toxins and carry them out of the body. It is very important to drink 2 to 3 ounces per pound of body weight per day. Ideally, drink no more than 4 ounces every hour. Sipping water throughout the day is superior to consuming 8-12 ounces irregularly. Adding fresh lemon juice to water is beneficial because it helps the body’s pH stay alkaline.
